In order to avail of a plot loan from ICICI HFC, you must provide a written undertaking that states that the construction of your home will be completed within 3 years after taking a plot loan.

1Charges, wherever applicable, will be applied to the outstanding loan amount and on all amounts tendered by the Borrower(s) toward prepayment of the Facility during the last one year from the date of final prepayment.

Fixed rate loan is one where the rate is fixed for entire duration of the loan.
#All Hybrid (dual) rate (combination of fixed and floating) housing loans will attract the pre-closure norms applicable to fixed/ floating rate depending on whether at the time of pre-closure, the loan is on fixed or floating rate.
In case of a Hybrid rate housing loans, the pre-closure norm for floating rate will apply once the loan has been converted into floating rate loan, after the expiry of the fixed interest rate period.

But a plot loan is to invest in the vacant plot of land on which you can build your home the way you need to.
3. Can I take a plot loan along with a home loan?
No, you cannot take a plot loan and a home loan for the same plot of land or for the same property.
4. What is the maximum amount that I can take as a loan?
ICICI HFC offers plot loans of up to 1 crore.
5. Can a plot loan finance an investment in any plot, anywhere?
The land loan or plot loan can be financed only within municipal limits of pre-specified locations or, in cases of direct allotment by the concerned development authority, outside municipal limits.
6. What are my plot loan tenure options?
At ICICI HFC the tenure of your plot loan can be up to 25 years. However, the tenure cannot exceed the retirement age of the customer.
7. When can I apply for a plot loan?
You can apply for a plot loan from ICICI HFC once you have chosen the plot of land on which you want your home to be built. The loan can help you with financing the investment in this plot of land.
8. What is a Balance Transfer?
In case you have already availed of a plot loan from any other financial institution and are looking to shift to ICICI HFC, we offer the option of transferring the remaining principal of your loan to us.

No, plot loans do not offer tax benefits. However, home loans do.
10. How many years can I keep the plot of land before starting construction?
